Communication Centre, University of Agricultural Sciences, GKVK, Bangalore 

Communication Centre is a Co-ordinated Centre established on May 1, 1972 to help the UAS administration, research, teaching and extension wings in respect of Publications, Audio-visual aids, Graphic and photographic and printing works. The services of printing work is also assisted by the centre to various departments of the university on request. The objectives of the centre are : to bring out Scientific Journals, Periodicals and News Letters of the University and to cater to the Printing needs of the Centralised offices. 

     In the year 1967, a quarterly research journal entitled “The Mysore Journal of Agricultural Sciences (MJAS)” was started to provide a medium for faculty, scientists and extension functionaries of the university for publishing their research findings in the form of research papers, research notes and also the abstracts of Masters and Doctoral Degree Theses. The MJAS has completed its 50 years of existance. In order to commemorate the Golden Jubilee year of MJAS and to fall in line with the advanced ICT, the University launched on-line publication of MJAS on October 1, 2016 on the Foundation Day of the University. However, in the beginning, the existing procedure of submission of articles for MJAS will also be continued concurrently with the on-line submission.
